Launched in 2017

Since 2017, the Romanian Heritage Awards has recognized exceptional young leaders who preserve and promote Romanian heritage across the United States. What began as a small community initiative has grown into one of the most meaningful recognition programs in the Romanian-American diaspora — now in its 10th edition.
Over nine editions, the awards have honored hundreds of students from coast to coast, recognizing everything from Romanian language programs and cultural festivals to cross-border humanitarian work and STEM innovation with a Romanian connection. Many past recipients have gone on to top universities, carrying their heritage — and this recognition — into their college applications and beyond.
